Welcome to Robert Walker Photography

Robert Walker began his career as a portrait photographer at Lorstan Studios in Wilmington, DE, where he applied his artistry to capturing the essence of personalities from local families to heads of state. As his reputation grew, he was recruited into photojournalism at the News Journal Newspapers in Wilmington. He next moved to the Chicago Tribune where he held a staff photographer position, covering historic events ranging from the Democratic Convention riots to the Beatles’ first appearance on U.S. soil. He subsequently joined the staff of Fredericksburg, VA Free-Lance Star and, finally, was named photo editor for the Washington Star in DC. Over the years, he developed a national reputation and garnered numerous national and state press awards.

Now retired from the news business, Mr. Walker continues to chronicle joyful personal events such as weddings, family gatherings and parties as well as business meetings and corporate functions. Contact Mr. Walker and discuss your photographic needs. You’ll be amazed at how he can artfully capture your most important moments…at surprisingly reasonable rates.
